We Are

Infinite Garden

Founder: Elizabeth Laurel

Infinite Garden grew from a simple belief: we are all more connected, capable, and creative than we often realize. We are infinite in our capacity to learn, grow, heal, imagine, and create change.

A garden can be much more than a beautiful space. It can be a place to grow food, support pollinators and wildlife, build healthy soil, conserve water, learn from nature, and cultivate resilience. But perhaps most importantly, a garden can remind us that we are not separate from the living systems around us—we are part of them.

My own path has been shaped by a deep connection to the natural world, a commitment to social justice, and a lifelong curiosity about how we can live more consciously and collectively.

Growing up off the grid taught me early about resourcefulness, self-reliance, and living in relationship with the land. I later earned a B.A. in Social Work and have dedicated my career to working as a social justice advocate. This work has grounded me in the importance of dignity, equity, community, and collective care. Over time, I have come to understand these not simply as professional values, but as ways of living and ways of relating to the world around us.

My journey eventually led me deeper into herbalism and permaculture. I studied herbal medicine through the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine in Asheville, North Carolina, and earned my Permaculture Design Certification through Sowing Solutions in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts. Along the way, I have had the privilege of learning from respected herbalists and teachers, including Juliet Blankespoor, Rosemary Gladstar, Richo Cech, and 7Song.

These experiences gave language and practice to something I had felt for a long time: the health of people, communities, and the earth are deeply intertwined—and we all have a role to play.

Infinite Garden is where these parts of my life meet. It is a space for exploring what becomes possible when we reconnect—with ourselves, with one another, and with the living world around us. A place to share knowledge, cultivate creativity, nurture resilience, and grow something meaningful together. Nature is infinite in its capacity to grow, adapt, heal, and transform —and we are not separate from it.

This is the heart of our work. Whether through permaculture garden design, herbalism, education, or community-centered projects, Infinite Garden is about creating opportunities for people to recognize their own place within the larger ecosystem—and their capacity to contribute to its health and vitality.

We are not separate from the garden. We are part of it.

We are infinite.
